Puppy Love is the Winner!

Last weekend at the Dog Writers Association of America awards banquet, Puppy Love by Liz Palika

won best general book.

Yorkie Puppies!

My friend Val's puppies are always the best! This shoot confirmed that puppies are best photographed at about 7 weeks.

These guys were 8 weeks and a little harder to keep contained. They were more willing to jump than we wanted.

Take Hint!

Puppy shoots are always fun, and the puppies let us know when they are done.

I am sure that sometimes they wonder why I am not taking the hint!

Working with one puppy can be quite a challenge, but working with three is always fun and I never know what kind of pictures I will get. We put these three up on the table, quickly I started shooting

Just as quickly they started getting squirmy. Notice how quickly I am losing them. My surefire noises werent even helping

Going, going , gone! And the noise did work on the puppy on the left, made her want to howl!
