Enjoy the little things!

Enjoying the little things like the birds at the window feeder is the best part of some days

If you have a window you frequently look out, try adding a feeder.

The birds will get used to you and let you take closeup photos of them.

Seeds bring hungry birds for photos!

Yesterday's snow brought in plenty of birds to my window feeder. Here is a white throated sparrow.
Immature cardinal, hence the strange colors,

male cardinal

female cardinal and the bluejay!

It is fun to see them up close and personal and a window feeder means they get used to having you close by.
Certainly makes for easier pictures!

Bird Watching instead of working!

I love the bird feeder I put outside of my office window. It is over the porch roof so many birds can feed at once.
At first the second I would move, they would fly away,

Then gradually they became used to my movement and gave me a glimpse of their lives.
Bird politics are fun to watch and they always keep me entertained , some would say distracted. It is always amazing to be given a glimpse into the lives of other species.

The Birds at my Window

A bird feeder outside of an office window is a wonderful way to waste time! Well not waste time, but a way to spend time observing nature.
Pine siskens were the first to venture to the feeder.I have renamed them Piggy Pines since they sit and eat till forced out.
They are beautiful birds, and fun to watch.

The goldfinches are starting to turn gold even tho, it is 15 degrees today.

Bird Bath time!

Birds need baths and a tidal pool is the perfect place for the shore birds.
