The Waves of Ida

When Ida first came roaring through the Outer Banks, the rain poured and the wind howled. Each hour, the waves increased in size.

The pier was a great place to gauge the height of the waves.

Later the sun came up, but the surf kept rising.
We believe this was the state inspector for the fishing pier.

It was interesting to see him out there with the waves crashing against the pier.

Sunset at Okacroke after the Storm

Sunset on the harbor of Okacroke provided some intersting images

The piers looked like they were floating in the air.

Heritage Turkeys for Thanksgiving

From poults to immatures to full grown turkeys, the turkeys at Pleasant Hill Farm in Rixeyville Va have been fun to photograph.

Today they are mature , in their full glory heritage turkeys!
